We are looking for a data architect to our client in Helsinki.

Furthermore, to support efficient collaboration, knowledge exchange, and team integration, the contractor’s on-site presence should align with that of ECHA staff. This currently entails a minimum on-site presence of two days per week.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide architectural input to project teams on data integration and analytics plans

- Guide project teams on the modelling and design of domain-specific data products - Participate in architecture reviews, ensuring data-related compliance

- Support the EA team in guiding the evolution and implementation of the selected data mesh approach

- Collaborate with the Data Governance and Security teams on data classification and protection

Types of expected outputs:

- Conceptual and logical data models aligned with client's business capabilities and the data mesh paradigm, ensuring clarity in data ownership and usage across domains.

- Azure-based data integration pipeline designs, including specifications for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using services like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse.

- Data product specifications and architecture documentation, defining ownership, contracts, quality standards, and reuse mechanisms across business domains.

- Guidelines and templates for data modelling and architecture standards, supporting enterprise analytics, reporting, and machine learning capabilities.

- Recommendations and configuration support for governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, including metadata management, lineage, and compliance with EU regulations.

- Architecture artefacts illustrating secure, scalable data flows, including integration patterns and data sharing models that meet both operational and strategic needs.
