We are seeking a Senior IT/OT Security Engineer to join our client's team, mostly seated in Herndon, USA. This role involves working with teams across various time zones, requiring schedule flexibility and attendance at daily standup meetings at 9:30 AM US Eastern. Occasional travel may be needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware ESX/vSphere, Linux/Windows/ESXi environments, and Unix-based services. Proficiency in enterprise networking and security infrastructure, including Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and open-source platforms, is essential. Strong Unix fundamentals and automation skills are required, along with experience in global security incident response and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include leading IT/OT security projects, designing and implementing security solutions, conducting security architecture reviews, and engaging in forensic analysis of security incidents. The candidate will also develop security policies and conduct training events. We prefer candidates with senior IT and security experience, particularly in industrial automation and the utility sector. Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and strong English communication (B2 minimum) are essential. This is a full-time position for three months, with a high likelihood of extension.
